How it works
How we fix and look after your listing
We start with a free audit built from public information. If you hire us, you add us as a Manager, we make the changes in small stages, and we show you before-and-after numbers at 30 days. You stay the owner the whole time.

The four steps
- 1
Free audit
Send us your business name and Maps link. We build a one-page PDF from public information only: a score out of 100, how you compare with the top 3, and the 3 fixes that would help most.
- 2
You add us as Manager
In your Business Profile, go to People and access and add us as a Manager. You stay the owner and can remove us at any time. We never ask for your Google password.
- 3
We fix it, in stages
One or two major edits at a time over about 2 to 3 weeks, so Google does not see a sudden burst of changes. You get a written change log.
- 4
30-day check, then your choice
We re-check your listing at 30 days and show before-and-after numbers. If you want ongoing help, Monthly Care is month to month.
1. Access: Manager, never your password
We never ask for your Google password; we request Manager access. In your Business Profile, open People and access, and add us as a Manager. You stay the owner, you can remove us at any time, and we never lock you out or undo our work if you cancel. Google explains how working with a third party should look in its own guide for business owners.
Other directories, such as Yelp, BBB, Angi and Houzz, we handle with you case by case. Where a site lets you add us as a user, we do that. Where it does not, we send you step-by-step fixes to make yourself. Some sites ask you to verify by postcard or phone.
2. Changes in small stages
Big changes made all at once can trigger Google’s checks. So we make one or two major edits at a time over about 2 to 3 weeks: categories first, then the description, services and details, then the rest. We never change your name, phone number and website together. Photos, posts and review replies can run alongside. This follows advice from Joy Hawkins of Sterling Sky to “only do one or 2 edits at a time” (BrightLocal). You get a written change log of everything we did.
3. The 30-day check
At 30 days we re-check your listing and show before-and-after numbers: calls, website clicks and direction requests from your listing, plus reviews gained. Rankings come second, because leads are what pay the bills. If you want ongoing help, Monthly Care is month to month.
4. One client per category per service area
While you are a client, we will not work with another business that has the same primary category in your service area. Storefronts get a 15-mile radius. Service-area businesses, such as roofers or concrete contractors, get the service area listed on their profile, and big metros are split into named sub-areas. This holds while you are on Monthly Care, and a Fix-Up holds your area through its 30-day check. If a same-category business asks to work with us, we ask you first, and the default is no.
5. How we handle AI search
Tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Mode build their answers from sources they trust. Studies of local answers show which sources come up most:
- Yelp was cited in 80% of ChatGPT local answers, and Google Business Profiles were 28.5% of all citations across the AI tools studied (BrightLocal).
- When the same local question is asked again, only 20 to 33% of the businesses named overlap (BrightLocal, Sep 2026). That is why we report how often you are named across a fixed set of questions, never a rank.
- Google says there are no extra requirements and no special markup needed to appear in AI Overviews and AI Mode (Google Search Central).
So our AI work is the basics, done well: an accurate Google listing, matching details on Yelp, BBB, Angi and other directories, and a website that ChatGPT and Google are allowed to read. We do not sell AI shortcuts, and we never buy or plant mentions or reviews.
What we will not do
- Add keywords to your business name, which breaks Google’s guidelines
- Write fake reviews, pay for reviews, or only ask happy customers
- Promise a ranking or an AI recommendation
Prices for each plan are on the pricing page. To see what the first step looks like, open the sample audit.
